It appears that Fujitsu is planning to take another step into the Web3 world.
A recent trademark application from Japanese tech giant Fujitsu revealed the company’s growing interest in offering cryptocurrency trading services.
According to the filing submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on March 16th, Fujitsu aims to launch a range of other financial services related to crypto and traditional finance sectors.

It appears that Fujitsu intends to register a unique mark described as “the stylized word FUJITSU with a sideways s-shaped swirl over the J and I.” Thus, it can be assumed that Fujitsu aims to launch a platform providing various financial services, including deposit acceptance, loan financing, financial management, and cryptocurrency exchange.
In particular, Fujitsu asks USPTO to approve the trademark application, allowing it to provide crypto-related services, like “financial management of crypto assets; financial exchange of crypto assets; financial brokerage services for cryptocurrency trading.”
It is worth noting that, at the beginning of February, Fujitsu launched a Web3 Acceleration Program. At that time, the company stated that the program would be available for Web3 startups, Fujitsu partner companies, and universities.
With the program, Fujitsu aims to offer high-computing technologies, blockchain-based service APIs, and a development environment for any level firms to build “Web3 applications and services.”
By offering financial services and supporting the growth of Web3 applications, Fujitsu is positioning itself as a key player in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. With this strategic move, Fujitsu demonstrates its commitment to innovation and its dedication to staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
